Hey everyone! I finally got accepted to the deviant Art Film Community!! I'm so excited. Now I can post all my original animations and whatnot up here as well as to youtube. For my debut animation, I thought I'd post this homework assignment that I did for my Advanced Drawing class this semester. It was a portal project, where each of us drew some numbers and whoever got your number had to incorporate your unique drawing style or approach to drawing into their own work. We each had to draw two people out of the hat. The first one I drew was a student who did a lot with film installations, one project of which she did a lot of line doodling kind of like what I did in this animation. The other student used a lot of bright, vibrant colors in their work, which inspired the changing mood colors in the lines. As for the music, I thought a xylophone gave it a simple, playful feel, and just plinked around on my keyboard with Pro Tools until it sounded just right.
Overall, this was a fun project to put together. On top of that, I had to do the whole thing with the mouse! I had left my wacom tablet at my mom's house, and since this was due before I could get it back, I had no choice but to make do with the blasted computer rodent. lol It turned out though, and it actually made it kind of fun.
Anywho, I hope you like it! More animations and randomness to come. Enjoy!

Also this describes artist block pretty well:3 I usually start doodling something and end up with broken images or nothing at all.
