I almost feel crazy for accepting an art trade with all the stuff I have to do, but it sounded so fun that I couldn't resist. lol So this is for

. This is the adorable drawing she did for me of my original Character Elric:

She asked me if I'd draw something adorable with Sesshomaru and Rin, and since they're my favorite duo it wasn't too hard for me to come up with something cute. Lucky me I had a slow day at work and had more time to work on it. I've actually had this idea back in the vault for a long time but I never could get my sketches to do it justice. I'm pretty happy with this one though. I don't think Sesshomaru knows what to think about how easily Rin can be entertained by the simplest things. lol I don't know if he's taking his armor and weapons off or putting them on, but I've always had it in my mind that he was putting it on. How he does it with one arm I have no idea. lol

I really paid a lot of special attention to the perspective on this one. I didn't realize how important perspective was until I started animating and trying to capture that realistic feel of 3D space to my drawings. I mean, they turn out okay, but if you don't really have perspective in the forefront of your mind while you're sketching, your drawing may end up feeling flat and unbalanced here and there. So that's what most of my cartoon analyzing/practicing has been focused on lately, and I think it's starting to pay off a bit. I may use this as a tutorial subject later on if I color it.
