Hey guys! Long time no see huh? Wow it’s been nostalgic browsing through my old fanart and reading your sweet comments. It seriously feels like a lifetime ago. I’ve missed you!
As you’ve probably guessed, I don’t draw fanart anymore. I guess you could say I moved on from it after things in my real life changed (much of it for the better. Yay!). I mostly draw original art for my new business (livin’ the dream!). However, all my time posting on Deviant Art and sharing with you is still near and dear to my heart. It means so much to have your love and support for all these years! It helped me through a lot of challenging times and I’ll forever thank you for it.
On that note, as I was browsing through my doujinshis (comics) I remembered that I never got the rest of ”Brotherly Battle of Ball” posted. How lame is that? I decided the least I could do for you is to post the remaining pages in sketch form so you can see how the story ends. So here is a link to ”Brotherly Battle of Ball” so you can read the whole thing!
As for what I’ve been up to the past few years, I got married, went to college, got a bachelor’s degree in Commercial Music, released a couple of albums, had a baby girl, and recently released my first children’s book Called “Find Your Brave” . I’ve been busy!
I’m so happy with how my book turned out. It’s actually helped some kids and special needs teenagers face their fears (especially when it’s coupled with the plushie I made for it), which has been so inspiring. I’m hoping to use my book, illustrations, original songs, and other talents to continue helping others struggling with fear and anxiety. I had so many wonderful people reach out to me when I needed help to get me to where I am now. I hope I can pay it forward.
You can check out my book on Amazon Here!
By the way, after I finished my book I got the coolest opportunity. I was graduating from college at the time, and was invited to perform my original song “My Brave” at Convocation (graduation). Since my song had actually inspired the concept for the book and I had the illustrations handy, I asked if I could animate the illustrations to my song to play in a video behind me. They gave me permission! The video below is the final version that I sang to. The eruption of applause actually startled me it was so loud. I hadn’t expected that!
BTW, the animation is actually showing my real life education story in a nutshell (I was pulled out of school after 5th Grade and left to teach myself). Kinda cool that I made it to college despite that. I’m so grateful. That’s why art (and posting it here) meant so much to me! It was one of the few places I could socialize really.
Anyways, thanks for reading my update! I don’t know if I’ll get back here on Deviant Art to submit art again, but I will come back occasionally to read any new comments And to say hi. Thanks again for all the support! If you want to follow and stay in touch with me outside of dA, you can follow me on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter at @FoundMyBrave .
You can also checkout my website at www.foundmybrave.com. I’m still getting used to promoting my new business (still “Finding My Brave” on that one Lol) but here’s hoping I get the hang of it soon.
Again, thanks for all the support! Best of luck with all the things going on in your life. And please enjoy the new pages to Brotherly Battle of Ball! I’m excited to hear what you think of the ending. Lol It always was one of my favorite fan comics (although One Step Ahead and Cold were high up there too. And the Aftermath series. . . Dang it, they were all fun. Lol)
Anywho, take care! Much love and luck with 2023. It’s going to be a great year!
